As a founding member of the legendary quartet Kombinat100, Molle aka Mollono.Bass is a well known face within the scene since quite some time. His deep passion for electronic music caused the foundation of Acker Records in 2006, which he leads as its mastermind, as well as the launch of 3000° Records in 2008. And that’s still not enough: The always cheerful dude from the north-eastern German state of Mecklenburg is also involved in the projects Rundfunk3000 and Eulenhaupt & Mollenhauer. Behind the turntables as well as live, Mollono.Bass presents minimal Techhouse beats which directly aim the dance floor and therefore always contain a proper portion of bounce. The efficiency of his grooves has been proved by various successful productions and remixes on Acker and Ostwind Records. Also, Molle’s talent has already been smelled beyond the herring pond, a collaboration with Los Angeles resident Absurd Records will present a series of his tracks. Like already known from his productions for Kombinat100, Mollono.Bass embeds warm, groovy and driving drum sets into a dubby, harmonic and emotional soundscape. His organic tunes with a touch of atmospheric sounds take the listener on a journey through time and space. Who does not feel like dancing when listening to this music, should probably just stay at home!

Als Gründungsmitglied des legendären Quartetts Kombinat100 ist Molle aka Mollono.Bass schon seit einer ganzen Weile ein bekanntes Gesicht der Szene. Seine innige Leidenschaft für elektronische Musik führte 2006 zur Gründung des Labels Acker Records, hinter dem er als führender Kopf steht, sowie im Jahre 2008 zur Eröffnung von 3000° Records. Damit nicht genug: Auch in den Projekten Rundfunk3000 und Eulenhaupt & Mollenhauer mischt der stets gut gelaunte Mecklenburger im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes kräftig mit. Mit seinem Solo Projekt präsentiert Mollono.Bass live und an den Turntables minimale Techhouse Beatz, die für den Dancefloor konzipiert sind und somit ordentlich nach vorne gehen. Das beweisen eine Vielzahl erfolgreicher Veröffentlichungen auf Acker und Ostwind Records. Und auch jenseits des großen Teichs hat man sein Talent bereits gewittert, im Zuge einer Zusammenarbeit mit dem in Los Angeles ansässigen Absurd Records erscheint dort eine Reihe seiner Werke. Wie schon in seinen Produktionen mit Kombinat100, bettet Mollono.Bass warme, groovige und treibende Drumsets in ein dubbiges, harmonisches und emotionales Klanguniversum. Sein organischer Sound mit einem Hauch atmosphärischer Klänge entführt den Hörer auf eine Reise durch Raum und Zeit. Wer bei dieser Musik nicht die Lust zum Tanzen verspürt , sollte vielleicht einfach zu Hause bleiben!

Artikel for Album “MY HIDDEN PLAYGROUND”

Nirgends würde sich ein versteckter Spielplatz besser machen als in der Natur und eben genau dahin entführt uns Mollono.Bass mit seinem Debüt- Album “My Hidden Playground”. Dieses ist bei Acker Records erschienen und seit Anfang Mai auch auf CD im Handel erhältlich. Wer unter den Freiluftfanatikern und Sonnenkindern die Platte bislang noch nicht entdeckt hatte, sollte sich schleunigst und spätestens jetzt daran machen, sie zumindest zu hören, bevor der Sommer seinen Höhepunkt erreicht hat. Denn sie ist die ideale Begleitung für die lauen Nächte und kühlen Morgen in lauschigen Locations unter freiem Himmel.
Unumgänglich ist der aufkommende Eindruck mit Einlegen der CD, dass man auf eine Art Ausflug durch die Felder und Weiden mitgenommen wird. Gerne überlässt man dabei Mollono.Bass die Führung – ist er doch der einzige, der weiß, wo die Reise hingehen soll. Die Tracks sind nicht nur mit diversen Naturphänomen und Plätzen betitelt, sondern fließen förmlich in die Musik mit ein. So zwitschern beispielsweise gleich zu Beginn die Vögel zu harmonischem Gitarrengezupfe, Quäken, Quaken und führen einen förmlich durch eine Art Wald und Wiesenlandschaft, in dessen Gestrüpp die letzten oder auch die ersten Sonnenstrahlen schimmern. Ein Donnergrollen leitet sanft zum zweiten Track “After The Rain” über. Panflötenlaute gleichen Feengesängen, helle Klavierklänge lassen einen den warmen Sommerregen fast schon auf der Haut spüren und das spätere Glöckchenklingeln die Regentropfen nahezu in die Pfützen klimpern sehen. Mit dem dritten Track kommt der See. Und der Bass. Und man will tanzen! Die Platte nähert sich mit den nächsten Tracks ihrem Höhepunkt. Zur Mitte hin lässt der Beat etwas nach: Die Tracks “In The Middle Of The Park” und “Under The Sun” sind monotoner und etwas schwerer, was aber gar nicht einmal verkehrt ist – schließlich brauchen die Füße nach all dem Wandern und Wundern auch ihre Pause. Außerdem werden diese ab dem achten Track wieder schwer benötigt: Man lächelt einfach mit dem Schamanen und stapft, die Hände in den Himmel haltend, einfach drauf los. Spanische Gitarren und erneutes Gezwitscher mischen sich in Track neun und führen mit ein bisschen mehr Bass und Rasseln durch eine Art Höhle. Langsam nähert man sich dem Ende des kleinen Abenteuers. Schade eigentlich, war man doch gerade dabei – an der frischen Luft tobenden Kindern gleich – die Zeit ganz zu vergessen! Dabei ist das Album gerade einmal nur eine gute Stunde lang. Wie gesagt: schade eigentlich.
Wem dies nicht ausreichend ist, kann auch noch auf ältere Produktionen des Herren zurückgreifen, schließlich ist Mollono.Bass längst kein unbeschriebenes Blatt mehr. Abgesehen von seinen im letzten Jahr veröffentlichten eigenen Tracks wie “Die Liebe”, ist er seit über zehn Jahren ist Teil des Kombinat 100 und war bei ihrem 2008 erschienenen Debüt-Album “Wege übers Land” eindeutig vernehmbar der Hauptproduzent. Sein ‘Soloalbum’ “My Hidden Playground” ist vielleicht weniger dubig, birgt aber in der Elementeauswahl wie beispielsweise der Verwendung von faunischen Facetten viele unverkennbare Parallelen zu früheren Tracks, die seinem Stil eine zusätzliche und ganz eigene Note geben. Dabei muss man kein Naturfreund sein, um sich von seiner Musik verzaubern lassen zu können. Sie ist organisch, melodisch, sinnlich emotional und animiert doch zugleich und immer wieder mit wummernden Bässen, abwechslungsreichen Rhythmen und ungewöhnlich verspieltem Instrumentengebrauch zum Bewegen und ‘High-on-Music’-Dauergrinsen. Dabei ist die Platte gleich einem guten Liveset so stimmig und in sich perfekt gemischt, dass es weder Pausen noch unsanfte Übergänge zwischen den einzelnen Tracks gibt. Sie kann also ohne Probleme durchlaufen – und zwar immer und immer wieder.

THE MICRONAUT is a one-man orchestra. Tracks narrating with no need for speech, resembling a collage of electronica, samples, and live guitar. The guitar sets the point of departure: riffs evolve and are passed to synthesizer keys, note by note. A peculiar dynamic arises – a merging.
THE MICRONAUT – strives for a sound, which grants a playing ground, its very own space to each instrument: “I’d like to remain flexible, constantly surprising.” His music focuses on a combination of orchestral tunes and frisky beats.
THE MICRONAUT converted his tracks into live beats that vivify and ask to dance. His set, bursting with energy, rose to a “Ostsee-Club” legend. Bookings with Apparat, Chris Korda, Kombinat 100, Paul Kalkbrenner, Asci Disco, Savas Piscalaidis, Ada, Notwist, Wighnomy Brothers, Metope, Jake Fairley and Phono followed.
THE MICRONAUT’s live performance: enthusiastic, poignant, straightforward and energized – beyond common, beyond clubbing.Stefan Streck got about in music. Influences initially came from Grind- and Hardcore. After taking leave from the longtime project “Wojzech”, his current moniker MICRONAUT came into being:
“I wanted to have a stab at varying kits without dropping the DIY conception.” His path took him to Ambient and Scoring in the late 90s. Simultaneously he began to yoke his passions – making and producing music. MICRONAUT became his platform.

THE MICRONAUT ist ein Ein-Mann-Orchester. Seine Tracks erzählen Geschichten ganz ohne Text, sie sind Collagen aus Electronica, Samples und Live-Gitarre. Die Gitarre ist der Ausgangspunkt. Fast jedes Riff entsteht dort und wird auf Tasten übertragen, Ton für Ton. So entsteht eine eigentümliche Dynamik, ein Zusammenfließen.
THE MICRONAUT sucht dabei nach einem Sound, in dem jedes Instrument seinen Platz, seinen eigenen Raum hat: „Ich möchte immer flexibel bleiben, immer überraschen.“ Sein musikalisches Augenmerk liegt in der Kombination aus orchestralen Sounds und verspielten Beats.
Beinahe nebenbei hat THE MICRONAUT eine Live-Umsetzung seiner Tracks zu tanzbaren Beats erarbeitet. Das energiegeladene Set avancierte zur Ostsee-Club-Legende. Es folgten Bookings mit Apparat, Chris Korda, Kombinat 100, Paul Kalkbrenner, Asci Disco, Savas Piscalaidis, Ada, Notwist, Wighnomy Brothers, Metope, Jake Fairley und Phono. Seine Live-Performance ist enthusiastisch, ergreifend, ehrlich und energiegeladen. MICRNAUT live ist mehr als Club. Stefan Streck ist musikalisch viel herumgekommen. Seine ersten Einflüsse kamen aus der Grindcore und Hardcore-Szene. Nach seinem Abschied vom langjährigen Projekt „Wojzech“ entstand das Projekt MICRONAUT: „Ich wollte verschiedene Sachen ausprobieren ohne den
DIY-Gedanken zu verlieren.“ Sein Weg führte ihn Ende der 90er Jahre zum Ambient und Filmvertonungsprojekten. Zur selben Zeit begann er, seine beiden Leidenschaften Musizieren und Produzieren zu vereinigen: THE MICRONAUT wurde sein Hafen.

TOBY DREHER und SASCHA MENTE : Spätestens nach ihrem im Herbst erscheinenden Depeche Mode-Remix sind die jungen Berliner kein wirklicher Geheimtipp mehr. Gemeinsam bilden sie den Live Act ” Dreher und SM.art ” und haben zudem gerade einen RMX für Holger Flinsch´s “Dude” (basalt) fertig gestellt. Beide produzieren auch als “Einzelkünstler” und haben dabei erfolgreich auf Acker, Rotary Cocktail und Tussitoaster veröffendlicht . Mit ihrem unverwechselbaren Sound spielten sie sich dieses Jahr schon auf etlichen Parties und Open Airs ( z.B. Fusion Festival) in die Herzen der Tänzer und Zuhörer. Zudem ist Toby seit sechs Jahren erfolgreicher Veranstalter der Partyreihe TONKONTROLLE ,welche seit 4 Jahren im Berliner Club ” Sternradio ” zu Hause ist.

Wer sie einmal auf der Bühne erlebt hat, hegt keinen Zweifel mehr: Diese beiden Jungs haben den Groove für sich gepachtet. Und das ziemlich großflächig: Innerhalb kürzester Zeit konnten Schäufler & Zovsky durch eine Reihe schlagkräftiger Veröffentlichungen auf Acker, SAT und Finger Tracks überzeugen.Eisig pfeift der kräftige Ostwind in dieser finsteren Januarnacht über die gefrorene Fläche des Sees. Drüben am Ufer kuscheln sich die Häuschen von Mirow aneinander, einladend und warm schimmert das Licht aus ihren kleinen Fenstern. Doch was ist das? Unter dem Brausen des Wintersturms ist noch ein anderes Geräusch vernehmbar: Ein dumpfes, rhythmisches Pochen… Seine Quelle findet sich in einer Stube der kleinen Ortschaft. Die Situation hier steht in geradezu exotischem Gegensatz zur eisigen Winternacht draußen: Hemdsärmelig zappeln zwei Burschen vor einer Groovebox, einem Laptop und angeschlossenem Midi Controller und haben sichtlich Freude daran, ihren kleinen Gerätepark in hyperaktivem Rausch zu traktieren. Doch es ist nicht nur ihr energetischer Einsatz an den Geräten, der den beiden den Schweiß auf die Stirn treibt. Auch der Groove selbst, den sie immer wieder modulieren und zu immer neuen Höhepunkten aufschichten, strahlt eine energetische Wärme aus. In dieser Nacht des noch jungen Jahres 2003 beschließen Sandro Schäufler und Stefan Witzovsky, ein gemeinsames Liveprojekt zu starten. Doch es soll noch 5 Jahre dauern, bis die beiden Mecklenburger ihre treibenden, auf den Punkt reduzierten Tech House Produktionen auf eine richtige Tanzfläche abfeuern. Nach einigen viel versprechenden Veröffentlichungen gelingt ihnen mit dem Titel „Everyday“, der 2009 auf dem heimischen Label Acker Records erscheint, der endgültige Durchbruch in die soundtechnische Oberliga. Grund hierfür sind zahllose Sessions im gemeinsamen Studio. Einmal verbarrikadieren sie sich für ganze vier Tage ohne Unterbrechung vor ihren Geräten, stellen während dessen den Titel „Am Utkieck“, der auf 3000° Records erschien, sowie ein sonnendurchflutetes Live Set fertig und tragen trotz vorübergehendem Verlust ihres Zeitgefühls und akutem Sauerstoffmangels keine ernsthaften geistigen Schäden davon. Diese bemerkenswerte Produktivität manifestiert sich derzeit in einer nicht abreißenden Veröffentlichungsreihe, die sich über die Labels Acker, SAT, Finger Tracks, Superfancy und POPNorama erstreckt. Die unverkrampft- heitere Art dieser Produktionen wird von zahlreichen Auflegern als wertvolle Bereicherung ihrer Sets entdeckt. Neben der kurzweiligen Eigenständigkeit ihrer Veröffentlichungen erfreut sich auch der ausgetüftelte Liveauftritt der beiden beständig wachsender Beliebtheit. So kommt es während ihres Sets auf der SOS U-Ground auf dem Gelände des Fusion Festivals im Oktober 2009 zu wahrer Masseneuphorie auf der Tanzfläche. Durch derartige Erlebnisse hochgradig motiviert, sind die Herren Schäufler & Zovsky zu Beginn des Jahres 2010 fleißig mit den Arbeiten am Debütalbum beschäftigt.

It all began in 1998 at a smoked out bar in the northeastern corner of Germany – a place called Neustrelitz. Three young and aspiring musicians met and contemplated on their newest musical adventures, talk of synthesizers, drum machines, sequencers and those lovely dubby bass lines floated through the thick air. Than Jens, Molle and Henry realised that an idea slowly grew into more than talk. One, two sessions at Molle’s home study and the three felt that their musical passion grew together, and thus their decision was born: “Lets find a studio and start a project together.“ Since than the three tweaked night and day – in their little studio in the attic of a former East German „House of Culture“ in Neustrelitz – on their machines. Searching for their own sound their music quickly crystallized into a mix of dub, techno and house, with a little pop in between, into a dynamic danceable style. They decided to call themselves Kombinat100 and welcomed in the year 2000 a new member, the blind musician Mark into their group. Following their wild celebration in endless studio sessions their concept was cemented. Just like in the studio their music should be on stage they thought. A jazzy character, that clearly defines each song and yet remains free to interpretation at every gig while intuitively capturing the mood of the crowd, Kombinat100 wanted to incorporate those emotions into their live act and through it back onto the dance floor thus creating an organism of audience and band. Kicking Bass drums, dubby grooves, shrieking harmonies, melancholy and euphoria combined in a rush, holding suspension, building suspension and poignantly igniting explosions, that’s what the sound of Kombinat100 would be defined by. Now Kombinat100 needed gigs. Luckily Jens and Molle already worked as resident DJ’s at SOS parties in Neustrelitz and played a crucial rule as founding members of Fortschritt3000 a local youth organization fostering a music culture in the barren lands around them – while giving them the chance to organize gigs and try their sound in front of an already existing audience. Their first promotional CD followed soon and found its way into the hands of the U-Site System crew, the good people behind the Fusion Festival. And thus, what a surprise, came the offer to play at 11am right after Zion Train, one of their musical legends and role models at the upcoming Fusion festival. In retrospect this was surely the beginning of it all and their musical career was on the way. Gigs followed in clubs like Sternradio, Watergate, Polar TV and 103 in Berlin, Click, Wagenbau and Überseehafen in Hamburg or in Rostock at the Speicher, JAZ, Mau and the legendary MS Stubnitz with whom they took a trip to play for their polish friends. Other gigs followed in Leipzig, Bremen and in clubs and at festivals in and around their home state of Mecklenburg. In 2004 Kombinat100 released their first record „Tanz in den Mai“ or „Dance into May“ on VMR Records followed by a production on Ostwind Records which was prompted by their decision to create their own label Acker Records.

The harmonious connection between human nerves and electronic physics. The result: a positive change of perception by electronics.Initially their sound was really hard grooving Detroit techno, influenced by artists like Plastikman, UR, Cybotron, Stacey Pullen and Aphex Twin. Later they begun to use laptops and combined them with the hardware of a studio. Under increasing influences from labels like Force Tracks, Raum Musik , Basic Channel, Poker Flat, Deep Chord or Plus8 their sound became more dubby, deep and minimal. In 2001/2002 they started to produce and dive into more projects with networks around the world. At the end of 2003 they started their own label Neurotron Music. In 2006 Neurotron got nominated on Qwartz electronic music award in Paris as best electronic music artist together with artists like Modeselektor or Sascha Funke. Neurotron has more than 50 releases out and tons of remixes on different labels.

The electronic music scene is like a cloudless
night. Countless, equally brilliant stars light the sky. Many new acts are quickly discovered and
disappear soon afterwards, like streaking satellites or pulsing comets. Still others are like space junk, spinning aimlessly through the nether. There are a few, however, that shine brighter than the others and despite their perennial presence, continue to burn brightly. Following a supernova in the year 1999, the constellation Funkwerkstatt appeared on the fi rmament of the Party Galaxy. The project, called into life by Derrick Porter and Nicola John on their own label, Superfancy, is well known for its individual, fresh and novel style of electro, minimal and tech-house sounds. Numerous releases and remix projects, for fans of italo disco and kraftwerk sounds, are evidence of the artistically demanding accomplishments. Singer Dan Morro has woven his vocals into the instrumental tapestry of Derrick and Nicola since 2004, expanding the spectrum of the group‘s sound. Through their energetic live acts, the trio keeps winning the enthusiasm and sweat of their audiences. After countless gigs both in the party scene of their home region and beyond, they are setting off, like a celestial storm, to course through the national and international club universe.

It is1993 when Dole meets Kom in Berlin’s Delirium record store, where both work as vinyl dealers. Complementary music taste and an evolving friendship are the basis for numerous mutual DJ gigs at all the mayor clubs around, like Tresor, E-Werk or WMF. Producing under the moniker Clubheroes, their first single ‘Dum Dum’ is released on Chicago’s prestigious Relief Records. Also, they join the artist roster of legendary Formaldehyd Records.
The own label BCC Music is the next step in their artistic career. Founded in 1996, it is the creative launching pad for a massive output. The duo’s probably most famous project is Studio 45 with tracks being released on Azuli, Nervous Records and David Morales’ Definity Records. Under the name Studio 45, Dole & Kom play DJ and live sets all around the world, the title ‘Freak It’ even hits the Top 40 in the UK.
In 2004 Dole & Kom start another label: Death By Disco. Already the first EP ‘Any Fuckin’ Nite’ becomes a bombastic banger on Europe’s club dance floors, the following 12” releases receive great feedback, as well. Their refined productions raise more and more interest within the scene, various EPs are released on labels like Bondage Music, Tsuba, Force Tracks, Schatten, Ostwind, Superfancy and Session Deluxe. Just before the year 2011 comes to an end, ‘New Jack Nation’, featuring the vocals of Chicago’s House music legend Tyree Cooper, hits the clubs.
With their both sophisticated and independent style, Dole & Kom perfectly match the musical ideal of Acker Records, which they join in early 2012.

Sie treffen sich 1993 im Berliner Plattenladen Delirium, wo beide als Vinyl-Dealer tätig sind. Ein sich ergänzender Musikgeschmack und gegenseitige Sympathie werden die Grundlage für zahlreiche gemeinsame DJ Gigs in allen angesagten Clubs der Stadt, wie dem Tresor, dem E-Werk oder dem WMF. Unter dem Synonym Clubheroes produzieren sie ihre eigenen Titel, die erste Single ’Dum Dum’ erscheint auf dem prestigeträchtigen Relief Records aus Chicago. Zudem gehören sie auch bald zum künstlerischen Umfeld des legendären Formaldehyd Records.
Der nächste Schritt ihres Werdegangs ist das eigene Label BCC Music. Gegründet 1996 bildet es die kreative Abschussrampe für eine beachtliche Reihe von Veröffentlichungen. Mit ihrem einfallsreichen und eigenständigen Stil ergänzen Dole & Kom ganz hervorragend das musikalische Ideal von Acker Records, dem sie sich Anfang 2012 anschließen.

After several gigs in Germany and overseas, his own EPs on Ostwind Records or Pocketgame Records, remixes for My Best Friend or Simple As That, Nils – at the age of 25 – is not a dark horse in the techno scene. His EPs, tracks and remixes made it into the charts of artists and record shops. Even other artists were able to celebrate some success due to his work. “Roots” is written with a capital letter by Nils, you can hear that in his sets and productions. Nevertheless, he’s always in search of the sound of tomorrow. A certain drive, emotions and the sense for outstanding moments turn his DJ sets unique.

His musical breakfast was hearty and solid: It was strong, bouncing and honest Techno, that woofed from the grooves of the records, which Sandro Schäufler fished out of his case during his first DJ sets in 1998. It became rapidly apparent that this dude from the picturesque north-eastern corner of Germany had not only a knack for the right tune at the right moment, but was also kind of walking source of good mood. And so his sensitive groove soon became an essential ingredient of the parties in the region and also invitations from the capital Berlin not were long in coming. Together with the urging hormone cocktail of his youth, also the tempo of his favourite tunes subsided and Sandro bit by bit discovered the friendly, relaxed but still very inspiring aspects of electronic dance music. In opposite to many of his musician colleagues he does not find his inspiration within the city jungle, but in the remarkable beautiful nature of his home Mecklenburg, for which he still feels a strong affection. Accordingly, his productions feature a very own sound that is characterized by a cheerful clarity and a careful reduction to the essential elements on the one hand and always a pinch of humour on the other. This refreshing style fit perfectly into the roster of Acker Records, where Sandro Schäufler’s debut was released in summer 2008. One year later he is productive like never before and the colourful and tasty fruits of his labour can be found on the releases of more and more different labels like Simple As That Records, Superfancy Recordings or Finger Tracks.

Melodic,a little bit of oldschool but also fresh and groovy, that’s the sound of  THE GLITZ.
The musical backround of these two guys is just very different. Everything began with an oldschool hip hop and crossover. In the middle of the 90’s they found their love for house and techhouse music. After moving on as DJ’s and having some solo releases the young and talented guys decided to create THE GLITZ in 2007. There they started with three members – but now they’re down to two now. The first EP “White Line” was a huge success. Surprisingly THE GLITZ found themselves in many DJ playlists and other electronic music charts around the world. Their follwong releases “Chatter” and “Tenga” tie in with the success of “White line”. THE GLITZ have a few releases waiting in the start blocks. So you can get ready for next singles called “Silbersee”, “Last Panther” and “Red Leaves”. Labels like Material, Ideal, Voltage Musique and Pocketgame support THE GLITZ and their kind of electronic music. The keen sense for the right sound at the right moment makes THE GLITZ not only convincing as producer but also as a DJ-Team in the clubs. People love their energetic sets, but also to see their passion behind the decks is worthwhile is the motivation of this two guys.

In the middle of the 90s Daniel Nitsch began organising major events in the field of crossover/hip hop/big beat. Being open minded to all kinds of music finally lead him to electronic sounds. In 2001, he and Christian Gleinser founded a project called Nitsch&Gleinser. In the next years they released some EPs, Singles and Remixes on labels like Pocketgame, Lasergun, Voltage-Musique, I220 and many more. Motivated by the success of their releases, Daniel founded in 2003 together with Andreas Henneberg and Stefan Schuldt the Recordlabel “Voltage-Musique”. In the next years he plays as DJ and Liveact under the spirit of Voltage-Musique in a lot of clubs and at many festivals. In 2007 he found together with his long friends Stefko Kruse and Andreas Henneberg the new project “The Glitz”. The first release “White Line” was a big clubhit. In 2008 they released the songs Chatter, Chamise and Tenga on labels like Pocketgame, Ostwind and their homebase Voltage-Musique. In the next month you will listen more of The Glitz. The DJ-Sets of Daniel Nitsch are characterized by his long experience, soulful moments and a warm deep groove. But feel it for yourself!

Birds of feather flock together: Both Sandro Schäufler and Marcel Schulz originally come from the land of the thousand lakes, the North-Eastern German state of Mecklenburg and both have a passionate enthusiasm for electronic music and everything that relates to it since their early youth. They established the “collective East” around 2003 when it became a synonym for frisky underground raves, today it stands for the musical weekend relationship of the two. It is a “weekend relationship” because Marcel decided to move to the German capital, Berlin, some time ago while Sandro is still staying in his native country Mecklenburg. The spatial distance between the two is not a problem at all. Just the opposite, it turned out to be kind of an advantage for the pleasantly crazy duo: While the one embraces metropolitan influences and ideas, the other is inspired by a quiet and peaceful natural environment. In consequence, they complement each other in a pretty unique selection of forcing Tech House rhythms. This special quality can not only be witnessed when listening to one of their energetic DJ sets, but is also audible in their own productions. The meetings of the musical weekend relationship take place in clubs most often, where it’s musical eruptions frequently cause collective dance floor madness. Finally, their label Simple as That Records was founded to present the very personal Kollektiv Ost definition of groove.

Mollono Bass aka Molle is widely acknowledged as a part of the legendary Kombinat 100 quartett and also as the mastermind of the newly founded label Acker Records where he released his debut EP >LINSTOW E.P.< at the end of 2006. A year earlier he already produced a successful remix entitled >Hey Na EP< for Ostwind Records in a more floor and ear candy orientated minimal version as Marlose’s original track bringing out his familiar organic style. Now he is at it again and we are happy to announce his own debut EP on Ostwind. Like his productions with Kombinat 100, Mollono Bass combines warm grooving and driven drum sets with dubby, harmonic and emotional elements – intuitively knowing – how to tell the crowd those special moments. All in all Mollono Bass lets beat addicted crowds move to an unforgettable set of endless combinations. Anybody who doesn’t feel the need to dance to Mollono Bass must be death and might as well stay home.

Artikel for Album “MY HIDDEN PLAYGROUND”

Nirgends würde sich ein versteckter Spielplatz besser machen als in der Natur und eben genau dahin entführt uns Mollono.Bass mit seinem Debüt- Album “My Hidden Playground”. Dieses ist bei Acker Records erschienen und seit Anfang Mai auch auf CD im Handel erhältlich. Wer unter den Freiluftfanatikern und Sonnenkindern die Platte bislang noch nicht entdeckt hatte, sollte sich schleunigst und spätestens jetzt daran machen, sie zumindest zu hören, bevor der Sommer seinen Höhepunkt erreicht hat. Denn sie ist die ideale Begleitung für die lauen Nächte und kühlen Morgen in lauschigen Locations unter freiem Himmel.
Unumgänglich ist der aufkommende Eindruck mit Einlegen der CD, dass man auf eine Art Ausflug durch die Felder und Weiden mitgenommen wird. Gerne überlässt man dabei Mollono.Bass die Führung – ist er doch der einzige, der weiß, wo die Reise hingehen soll. Die Tracks sind nicht nur mit diversen Naturphänomen und Plätzen betitelt, sondern fließen förmlich in die Musik mit ein. So zwitschern beispielsweise gleich zu Beginn die Vögel zu harmonischem Gitarrengezupfe, Quäken, Quaken und führen einen förmlich durch eine Art Wald und Wiesenlandschaft, in dessen Gestrüpp die letzten oder auch die ersten Sonnenstrahlen schimmern. Ein Donnergrollen leitet sanft zum zweiten Track “After The Rain” über. Panflötenlaute gleichen Feengesängen, helle Klavierklänge lassen einen den warmen Sommerregen fast schon auf der Haut spüren und das spätere Glöckchenklingeln die Regentropfen nahezu in die Pfützen klimpern sehen. Mit dem dritten Track kommt der See. Und der Bass. Und man will tanzen! Die Platte nähert sich mit den nächsten Tracks ihrem Höhepunkt. Zur Mitte hin lässt der Beat etwas nach: Die Tracks “In The Middle Of The Park” und “Under The Sun” sind monotoner und etwas schwerer, was aber gar nicht einmal verkehrt ist – schließlich brauchen die Füße nach all dem Wandern und Wundern auch ihre Pause. Außerdem werden diese ab dem achten Track wieder schwer benötigt: Man lächelt einfach mit dem Schamanen und stapft, die Hände in den Himmel haltend, einfach drauf los. Spanische Gitarren und erneutes Gezwitscher mischen sich in Track neun und führen mit ein bisschen mehr Bass und Rasseln durch eine Art Höhle. Langsam nähert man sich dem Ende des kleinen Abenteuers. Schade eigentlich, war man doch gerade dabei – an der frischen Luft tobenden Kindern gleich – die Zeit ganz zu vergessen! Dabei ist das Album gerade einmal nur eine gute Stunde lang. Wie gesagt: schade eigentlich.
Wem dies nicht ausreichend ist, kann auch noch auf ältere Produktionen des Herren zurückgreifen, schließlich ist Mollono.Bass längst kein unbeschriebenes Blatt mehr. Abgesehen von seinen im letzten Jahr veröffentlichten eigenen Tracks wie “Die Liebe”, ist er seit über zehn Jahren ist Teil des Kombinat 100 und war bei ihrem 2008 erschienenen Debüt-Album “Wege übers Land” eindeutig vernehmbar der Hauptproduzent. Sein ‘Soloalbum’ “My Hidden Playground” ist vielleicht weniger dubig, birgt aber in der Elementeauswahl wie beispielsweise der Verwendung von faunischen Facetten viele unverkennbare Parallelen zu früheren Tracks, die seinem Stil eine zusätzliche und ganz eigene Note geben. Dabei muss man kein Naturfreund sein, um sich von seiner Musik verzaubern lassen zu können. Sie ist organisch, melodisch, sinnlich emotional und animiert doch zugleich und immer wieder mit wummernden Bässen, abwechslungsreichen Rhythmen und ungewöhnlich verspieltem Instrumentengebrauch zum Bewegen und ‘High-on-Music’-Dauergrinsen. Dabei ist die Platte gleich einem guten Liveset so stimmig und in sich perfekt gemischt, dass es weder Pausen noch unsanfte Übergänge zwischen den einzelnen Tracks gibt. Sie kann also ohne Probleme durchlaufen – und zwar immer und immer wieder.

For those who are familiar with the nightlife of the Hanseatic town Rostock, it is not big news that there are quite some opportunities to keep oneself amused with electronic music. Countless DJs court the audience’s favour. But there is this one man standing out of the masses.
Gregor is a guarantor for frisky party nights that have become loved also beyond his home pastures. Lots of imagination and a certain feeling for the right sound at the right moment combined with a proper portion of cheeky charm make him creating very special musical sceneries to tune in, turn on and drop out. It all started with a record called “Traumzauberbaum” (The Dream Of The Magic Tree), still his favourite tune. Today one can find quite everything which is fun in his record case. A certain affinity for House can not be denied but also sounds from very different genres frequently find their way into his colourful sets. His golden thread is a very distinct bounce that makes hips swinging and heads nodding excessively and frequently provokes total departures on the dance floor. Gregor is also known as 50% of “German Lachs”, a young and uprising duo that is part of the popular travelling circus “3000°”.
“Music is the satisfaction of desires” – accordingly, Gregor demands pretty high standards from the sound. Its doesn’t necessarily have to be loud, but has to be brilliant. He has been fascinated by the duration of electronic parties and their excessive nature from the very beginning. But the time of day is rather secondary because “every music has its time (of day)”.

Well, this is gonna be frisky: Go-getting musical globetrotter Eule aka Eulenhaupt meets his DJ colleague Molle aka Mollenhauer, the cheerful dude from Mecklenburg with his special passion for groove. The result of this encounter clearly bears the hallmarks of the two of them and therefore is similar varied and entertaining like the gentlemen themselves. A rich bass makes the head nodding right from the beginning of Candyshock, driving offbeat chords reinforce this effect even more. The percussive composition signalizes a massive departure even before the break, the track finally takes off completely with some playful-euphoric wind instruments. Candydrop starts in a similar mood but this one leads into dubby depths with harmonic keyboard orchestration afterwards. On the B-side Candyshock is re-interpreted by Mollenhauer’s Alter Ego Mollono.Bass. He again adds a mighty portion thrust, dubby sounds and a dreamy oriental vocal hovers between the quotations from the original. Last but not least Eulenhaupt and Mollenhauer rearranged the song Candyshop from the bouncy jazz-folk-crossover combo Fatima Spar and deliver a song-styled composition with friendly accordion sounds and a superb smoky female vocal. As one can hear pretty distinct, not only the name of this title was an important source of inspiration for the available record. Music from Acker for the acre or the cosy freak-out in the club of trust!

Expect the unexpected! After having been put together in 2005 by Rostocks public authorities to bridge a redundant period, Gregor Welz & dolby_a easily found the least common denominator: Their affinity with sweating dancers and their love for swinging basslines and neat PAs. Bringing the latter together makes sense, especially since remembering gigs on local ground still put a smile on participants faces. With mostly elaborate sets, without batting an eye but always with a shot of self-mockery the swells manage to make our good old friend house expand it´s horizons. Only neighbors complain. Even those off einkost-rostock.com-wright Christian Harten, who furthermore officiates as the third arcane member of German Lachs, being responsible for the whole layout, flyer and ad-shebang of the feinkost showcases. Intensive musical accompaniment seems to go along with it. Meanwhile, having partly occupied the capital, dolby & Mr Harten do season the soup. Why call it Lachs not otherwise can be discussed personally if required.

Gut für denjenigen, der diese Zwei zu verbinden weiß und gut für uns, dass er sich aufgemacht hat um Discjockey zu werden. Und so erreichte uns im vergangenen Jahrzehnt sein Raumschiff (es heißt sogar, es kam von der Venus). Mit viel Hingabe macht sich der Commander daran, die schönsten gesungenen und gesprochenen Worte mit den wunderbarsten instrumentalen Kleidern für sein Publikum auf zu spüren. Und da ja bekanntlich weder die Musik noch die Liebe Farben kennen, lässt sich der Messias der Liebe auch nicht auf seine musikalischen Wurzeln als Gründungsmitglied der legendären Elektro-Kombo Kombinat 100 festlegen. So entsteht unter seiner Feder ein süßes Repertoire aus Folk, Country, Reggae, 80er, Hip Hop, Pop und Acoustic, welches er durch besondere und von weit her importierten Coverversionen feinsinnig abrundet. So ist es keine Überraschung, dass sich Herzen öffnen und Tanzflächen, Autoradios, Internetstreams und Couches zu einem Ort des Seelenheils und der Zufriedenheit werden.

Be Svendsen has released tracks of different styles, from melodic crunch downbeat with Danish electronica artist RUMPISTOL, followed by progressive trance act Psyless Groove, to a solo project by the name Benny Berigan, which resulted in the 1930’s jazz inspired Swing-Tech release, “CARAVAN adaption EP”, with a cover version of the old Duke Ellington classic. Lately Be Svendsen has also been doing remixes for artists of different genres.

Be Svendsens LiveSet is a deep experimental MagicalMysteryCircusHornsDessertSwing-Tech journey. Besides a laptop, Be Svendsen incorporates elements of live clarinet, vocal samples, analogue synths, cowbells and voicetransformers to twist the original versions of the tracks.

Lula Circus is a “house oriented” electronic music project started in October 2008 by two Italian producers. The anonymous nature of its concept wants to put the focus entirely on the sound (crisp, brilliant, hybrid, with house influences and cool grove) by keeping the real identity of the two producers a secret. A bet, a game, just like in a Lynch circus where captivating music drags into far-away trips.

In April 2009 their first split 12” release “Charlotte Boulevard” with French dOP and a remix by D’Julz for the french label CHILDREN OF TOMORROW. In August 2009 their first vinyl for the well-renowed German label RESOPAL SCHALLWARE (“Circus Part1”). The growing interest in the German market leads in the next months to the release of other three vinyls (“Las Vegas Story” for HERTZ IST TRUMPF in October 2009, “Yoko Emoshon” for BROUQADE in February 2010 and “Blumenholz” for ACKER in March 2010).Their tracks are played by the most famous djs, including Villalobos, Loco Dice, Reboot, Karotte, Italoboyz, Tobi Neumann… In addition to their intense activity as producers, Lula Circus perform in various clubs and festivals (FUSION FESTIVAL 2010 – Larz/Berlin DE, WALD SEE & 3000° FESTIVAL – Larz/Berlin DE, CASSERO Bologna IT, SOS U-GROUND – Larz/Berlin DE, ETNOBLOG – Trieste IT, and more…) with their dj set and live set.
